What a Memory

For every step we took apart the land shook so hard
and weight on our feet became unbearable
final look back and the heart took track
nothing as aesthetic was comparable
so distant were our forms of flesh but touch so warm so fresh
was of our soaring souls

with a certain light angle you had the night mangled
your eyes simply mesmerized
time plainly flew away as we painly grew astray
we prayed for less demise
our fingertips departure and eager lips unsure,
of the outcome of this goodbye!
